ABOUT THE EVENT

Paint native wildflowers and learn how they support the world of pollinators.

Discover the importance and vibrant colours of some of our unique wildflowers. Unleash your artistic talent with watercolour painting and create your own framed masterpiece. Then, swap your paintbrush for tools and build a bee temple, giving local native bees a cosy place to rest after a hard day's work!

During this program, participants will:

  • Learn watercolour painting techniques
  • Create a stunning piece of wildflower artwork to take home
  • Build a DIY bee temple
  • Learn about the fascinating world of pollinators

Tools and materials used under strict guidance include:

  • Hand tools: Hand drills, hack saw, screwdrivers and tabletop vice
  • Protective equipment: Safety glasses, latex-free gloves, protective aprons and dust masks
  • Materials: Plywood, bamboo and PVA wood glue

Join us for a hands-on mix of art, nature, and DIY, while supporting local wildlife. This workshop is the bee's knees!
