A Recipe for Life: Exhibition Launch Party

Talks and workshops

ABOUT THE EVENT

A Recipe for Life: The Food The Shapes Us is the State Library's new exhibition.

Historic menus, photographs, recipes and advertising have all been thrown into the pot as we boil down what the growing, cooking, eating and marketing of our food can tell us about our cultural identity. The exhibition includes a fascinating new video oral history series exploring quintessential WA dishes, brands and food stories.

The launch event includes a panel conversation featuring WA food luminaries Max Veenhuyzen, Dale Tilbrook, George Kailis, Kate Lamont and Russell Blaikie.

Enjoy light nibbles inspired by iconic Western Australian products featured in the exhibition. Cash bar.
