PICA After Dark: Hatched Opening Night Party

Join us on Friday 1 August to celebrate Hatched 2025 with a bespoke PICA After Dark Opening Party.

Each year the Hatched: National Graduate Show invites you to experience the next wave of Australian contemporary artists. And this year, for the first time, Hatched will be hosted in a new offsite location – an expansive floor of Forrest Chase in Perth’s CBD.

Join us as we congratulate the 23 exhibiting artists from 20 art schools and announce the 2025 Dr Harold Schenberg Arts Awards – the largest prize pool for emerging artists in the country. This year’s winners will be selected by Hannah Mathews (Director, PICA), Dr Theo Costantino (Director, Lawrence Wilson Art Gallery), alongside esteemed guest judge Archie Moore (winner of the Golden Lion at the 2024 Venice Biennale and Hatched alum 1998).    

Be sure to stay on and celebrate into the night with a paid bar and sweet tunes from DJ MACCA behind the decks, followed by a back-to-back set by Lia T and Montana.
