ABOUT THE EVENT

Kick off the opening weekend of Hatched: National Graduate Show 2025 with a day of conversation and live performance at our exciting offsite venue in Forrest Chase. Meet the next generation of Australian contemporary artists as they share their ideas, processes and compelling new works.

Join Hatched Curatorial Associate Mia Palmer-Verevis in a discussion with exhibiting artists Grace Yong (WA), Gosha Heldtz (NSW), Maelyse Xinh Leculier (NSW) and Nicole Goode (VIC). Gain behind-the-scenes insight into their practices, hear about their journey to Hatched and discover the stories behind their works.

Throughout the day, the space will also host performances by Hatched artists Rosemary Tamas-Cao, Elsa Mona, Samuel Chan, Nicole Goode and Isabella Rose Cort. Expect a mix of experimental sound, movement and performance that blurs the boundaries between disciplines. Wrap up the day with Hatched Happy Hour at Picabar, a chance to mingle with the artists and celebrate their achievements.

Don’t miss this opportunity to witness the future of contemporary art in Australia.
