ABOUT THE EVENT
International Day of People with Disability (IDPwD) is celebrated annually across the globe on 3 December to increase public awareness about the importance of access, inclusion, understanding and acceptance of people with disability, and to celebrate their achievements and contributions.
This year WA’s theme ‘Celebrating our Unity’ recognises that by working together, we achieve better outcomes for people of all abilities and honour the knowledge and experience of people with disability.
As part of International Day of People with Disability on Wednesday 3 December 2025, AGWA will be offering the following tours and programming.
Tour Schedule
10.30am: Touch Tour
11am: Gallery Highlights (AUSLAN Interpreter)
1pm: Highlights of First Nations Art (AUSLAN interpreter)

Touch Tours
Our trained guides provide special touch tours for people with low vision. Get up close and personal with select artworks and really feel how they are made.
Tour goes for 60 minutes, gloves provided.
AUSLAN Interpreted Tours
Join our Voluntary Gallery Guides as they take you around highlights of AGWA.
Tours go for 60 minutes, AUSLAN interpretation provided.
