Tu on William Street, Northbridge

William Street, Northbridge is coming of age as old favourites return to refurbished premises and new retailers, Rummage, tu`, 1Up and Foxhunt, begin trading in time for the busy holiday period.

Local designer Emily Gibson presents shoppers with a bold range of fashion and accessories at Rummage, while tu` will attract people in to browse through local and national clothing for women, giftwares, accessories and baby wear.  Foxhunt will offer a range of men’s fashion and is the latest venture from the people behind Pigeonhole

For that unique purchase, indulge in the guilty pleasure of browsing through Perth’s much loved indie favourite The Butcher Shop, or visit a new range of fashion on offer at 1Up.

In addition to William Street alumni, visitors can be inspired by Outre`, Australia's original, alternative, international pop and underground art gallery; peruse the shelves of New Edition Bookshop, a treasure-trove for Perth’s book lovers; or indulge in therapy for the body and soul at the Happy Herb Shop.

EPRA CEO Tony Morgan said the revitalisation of William Street was completed as part of an $11million short term revitalisation project undertaken at the Perth Cultural Centre.

“Significant regeneration works were completed on 16 properties in readiness for providing leasing opportunities on this historic street in Northbridge,” Mr Morgan said.

“The evolution of this precinct as a niche shopping area has not happened by accident.”

Mr Morgan said a key objective of the William Street revitalisation was to conserve the unique identity of the street and build on the area’s reputation for emerging fashion, entertainment, cultural diversity and cuisine.

The Perth Cultural Centre always offers a reason to visit and is fast becoming Perth’s favourite meeting place and premier events destination. For more details of events in the Centre over the coming weeks, and to keep updated on happenings along William Street, keep an eye on our website.
