The Cultural Centre bridges the great divide between Northbridge and Perth city, making it a central location for the Open House Perth weekend and an ideal place to take in the ambience of the event. You’ll also be the first to see British artist Elizabeth McAlpine and Perth Archeitect Ariane Palassis's installation piece in front of Pica.
Over the course of the weekend the screen at the Cultural Centre will show a variety of material about our city. It will feature collaborations between prominent architectural firms, student works and an assortment of related videos. It will include guest speakers from Heritage Perth and other organisations related to the industry.
Featured Speakers include:
Richard Weller/ Julian Boelleter from the AUDRC, Pendal Nielle, Rene Van
Meeuwen, Richard Offen, Spacemarket, Officer Woods and Open House founder Victoria Thornton. You will also have the chance to get inside some of Perth's most iconic destinations!Over the weekend of November 3 and 4 a range of buildings and spaces will be open to the the public - from heritage landmarks to the newest contemporary additions to our city. Open House Perth are also giving you the chance to see inside some of our premier design studios and discover the workings of the creative environments where the Perth of the future is being imagined and designed. Open House Perth 2012 is a great way to celebrate your city and the best part? it is for free! We have over 50 destinations and events to visit, and while a few of them require booking generally all you need to do is turn up.
